  9. All included .EXE programs are not designed as end user products.  They are a 
  10. collection of calls to LEADTOOLS high level functions.  Menus were not 
  11. included to avoid confusion when evaluating the code as to the processing 
  12. calls verses the menuing code. All exe's are demos for LEADTOOLS DOS 16bit
  13. and are limited to an image with of 15,000 pixel. All 32Bit demo hove no
  14. size limit and run 6 to 8 times the speed performancs of this demo.

  16. When compressing with JPEG (JFIF, or JTIF) notice that support has been given
  17. for 4:4:4 (1:1:1) use JPEG or JTIF, 4:2:2 use LEAD2JFIF or LEAD2JTIF, and 
  18. 4:1:1 use LEAD1JFIF or LEAD1JTIF color sub-samplings.

  22. To get the best viewing results out of LEADVIEW make sure you are using
  23. a 24-bit true color or 16-bit hi color windows drivers. LEADVIEW can
  24. also give good results on an 8-bit 256 color driver. Although LEADVIEW
  25. works with 4-bit 16 color drivers, display time will be much slower and
  26. the images quality will be poor. In addition, Photo Album will not work 
  27. with 4-bit 16 color drivers.

  40. If you run the program and the program does not run, that means that the 
  41. program has expired. You can either call us to ship you a new copy or call 
  42. our BBS and Download a small file called new.zip. New.zip contains 
  43. the LEADVIEW.exe file. You must unzip the file and overwrite the expired 
  44. .exe file .  The new LEADVIEW.exe will allow you to run the program for 
  45. another 60 days.

  62. 1) WINEVAL.ZIP:  Demonstrates the following products.

  67.    Note: This is the demo version of LEADVIEW 32 for Windows 2.0. It is 
  68. not only used to demostrate our Wwindows end user product, but also to 
  69. demostrate our windows development product. This copy will expire in 60 days 
  70. or 40 runs. This demo is a fully functional version of LEADVIEW for Windows 
  71. and should be sufficient to demonstrate how a user can use our DLLs. This
  72. version also supports OLE and DDE.

  74. 2) LEAD32.ZIP:  Used to demonstrate the following products.
  75.       LEADVIEW 32 for DOS
  76.       LEADTOOLS 32 for DOS  ( also need lead16.zip to get
  77.         sample source and a function list)

  79.    Note: This is the demo version of LEADVIEW 32 for DOS. This is also 
  80. used to demonstrate both the end user product and the development product. 
  81. However, you should download LEAD16.ZIP to get sample source code of a demo 
  82. and some function list. This demo will expire in 60 days or 40 runs.

  85. 3) LEAD16.ZIP: Used to demonstrate LEAD's LEADTOOLS DOS product.

  87.    Note: This demo has sample source code of a DOS demo and function list. 
  88. This shows how to call our DOS RUNTIME LIBRARY. The files will not expire 
  89. and contains a demo program that calls most of our DOS hilevel functions. 
  90. LEAD16.ZIP also contains a macro viewer, a file to file command line
  91. compression, and a file to file decompression command line decompression
  92. utility. If you download LEAD16.zip you do not need to download COMMAND.ZIP 
  93. nor VIEW.ZIP.

  96. 4) COMMAND.ZIP: Used to demonstrate Command Line for DOS product.

  98.    Note: This demo is for DOS command line operation such as file to file 
  99. conversion. Sample source code included.

  103.    Note: This is a shareware product not a demo. This product does not have 
  104. compression or conversion capabilities (Free be). There is no expiration date.
